On 21 December 2016 the developer of iSpy Keylogger, the successor to Hawkeye Keylogger, rebranded the malware as Gear Informer. At the same time, the developer changed his persona. Current users of iSpy Keylogger were given until 31 January 2017 to update their clients before it was shut down.Wapack Labs has reported on iSpy Keylogger in the past.
