SITREP: Risks associated with the Pokémon GO Phenomenon


On 8 August 2016, OSINT research revealed that the current U.S. gaming phenomenon, Pokémon Go app, has resulted in numerous challenges to users; often with serious social consequences. In the U.S., this game has been indirectly associated with a myriad of crimes and accidents. Additionally, this phenomenon has resulted in lowering business and corporate productivity. @PoodleCorp (PC) has threatened to take down the Pokémon game in August 2016. Global Poison hackers issued a YouTube Dox threat against PC on 8 August 2016. We are providing this information for your situational awareness.
